A Facial Expression Is Worth a Thousand Words








Facial expression provides cues about emotion, regulates interpersonal behavior, and communicates psychopathology. Human-observer based methods for measuring facial expression are labor intensive, qualitative, and difficult to standardize across laboratories, clinical settings, and over time.
